Advantages :
Akatsuki has different Backpacks, enabling the Pilot to choose depending on the situation, Akatsuki is also equipped with varies Weapons for both Close and Ranged Combat, together with strong defenses such as Yata-no-Kagami Coating, which enables the Gundam to reflect Laser Beams, Cannons, or any other Ranged Weapons and with Gundanium, makes it a true Gundam together with the Immunity to Neutron Jammer (common among Gundams & Moblie Suits). With its speed from the modified "Voiture Lumière" booster engine, and ability to confuse enemies with the Mirage Colloid System, makes it a formidable opponent. And its Multi-Lock Weapon System and its varies Weapons per pack, including its DRAGOON system included in the "Shiranui" Space Pack, makes it very powerful.

Disadvantages:
Because of "Yata-no-Kagami" Mirror Coating, it doesnt allow Akatsuki (Custom Modified) to use Phase Shift Armour, making it Vunlerable to Physical Attacks.

History:
The Kousen family has gotten a copy of the Akatsuki since after the Bloody Valentine War II, and it was agreed that the Kousen Family is gonna pass this Gundam down the Family from Generation to Generation, the Two or Three Generations of the Kousen Family before Kousen Kira also studied Gundams, such as Strike Freedom, Infinite Justice, Destiny, Legend, etc and took the oppotunity to customize and modify the Akatsuki, and when this Akatsuki was passed down to Kousen Kira, it was heavily Customized and Modified as it is now.

Okay why would you have a space pack, an earth pack and a Space & Earth combo pack? o.o.... Also I don't know enough about gundam to approve this so I'll get kusagi to work on this one =3.... seems like a lot of weapons but I'll assume it's one of the big mama gundams...

Haha, no, its jus a normal sized Gundam, and the weapons are normal weapons, jus taken from different type of Gundams, mainly Gundams from Gundam SEED Destiny :p

approved but you cant use all of those weapons until you get to a right rank and you cant take all of those weapons to battle

Hey ksw there are actually no need for Hard points for the Meteor system since it locks to the waits(Cockpit section)of the gundam or MS anyway how are you going to hold so many weapons without your packs???There are just too many and it will turn your gundam into a moving target for people to shoot with all those weapons
